AUNT SWARLOW POLISH PLUM
Polish cultivar. Big red fruit of irregular shape with heart-shaped tendency, from 250 to 600 grams.
Variety native of Poland, the aunt of Bill Menkey, Wisconsin, having brought back the seed from a trip in this country in 2003. Featured in the 2006 Seed Savers Yearbook. Introduced commercially by TatianaTomatoBase in 2014.
Large red fruit, 250-600 grams, irregularly shaped with a heart-shaped tendency, well-marked ribbing at the top and wavy shoulders.
Very fleshy, thick and moderately juicy flesh with very small pockets containing very few seeds. Excellent sweet flavor.
The skin comes off very easily and will be a very good choice for making sauce or coulis.
Regular, wispy and delicate foliage, indeterminate growth.
