California native variety developed by Brad Gates. Spontaneous mutation of "Green zebra," looks like "Black Zebra."
Round fruit zebraized with brown, red and green, 60 to 120 grams.
The flesh of the fruit offers a gradation of colors that range from pale pink at the core, to brown towards the outside. The gel that surrounds the seeds is dark green. The flesh is succulent and has an abundantly juicy texture. The taste is closer to that of a black tomato than a zebra.
Plant with strong vigor, large robust trunk, important development, dense foliage, indeterminate growth.
Very good and consistent production from mid-season to frost.
Grown in 2016 under cover
Comments:
Vigorous, sturdy plant with large development and large stem, very abundant dark green foliage.
All fruits produced were heart-shaped more or less marked.
Very good production, better in the second part of the season and until the first frosts. Good homogeneity of fruit size.
Good flavor.
No disease to report.
First fruit: +/- 122 days after sowing - +/-73 days after transplanting.
Average weight: +/- 90 grams.
