One of the varieties descended from a "patch" discovered by Kristal Elser in a Black Zebra plantation, the other variety from this discovery being "Valhalla"; now stabilized. Named after the video game "Halo" from which the movie "Blood Gulch Chronicles" is inspired, of which Kristal is a fan (which has little to do with tomatoes...).
