A recent variety developed by Brad Gates, a spontaneous mutation of Pruden's purple, of which one strain gave "Evan's purple pear" and the other this one, presented in 2008.
Small fruit of 90 to 120 grams, pink/purple and of irregular pear/plum shape, its name comes from small grooved veins on the top of the fruit which remind the boar's hoof (detail which differentiates it from the other strain).
Very good fresh flavor.
Plant with great development with potato leaves with enormous leaflets (the size of a hand).
