Native variety of Russia, presented to the Seed Savers Yearbook of 1998 by Ake Truedsson of Sweden who had obtained the seed in France. The translation of the Russian name gives "Pinocchio" probably because of the shape of its apical end which reminds the nose of Pinocchio.
Fruit of 80 to 180 grams, orange-yellow, elongated in the shape of bottle with a long point curved like a horn.
Flesh type paste surprisingly of good taste.
Plant with very very large development with tormented stem. Between the nodes short and regular, columnar habit, indeterminate behavior.
Harvest: good, regular and long. Fast fruiting, slow ripening. Very sensitive to apical necrosis (black ass).
