Very old US heirloom. Pink fruit of 120 to 180 grams, round shape, slightly flattened at the poles.
Heirloom dating from the 1890s, origin USA. Synonym: Burpee's Fordhook First.

Firm, fleshy and juicy flesh. Excellent flavour.
Large, even foliage, indeterminate growth.
Good production 80-85 days after planting. Good resistance to cracking.
NB: the "First" in its name does not imply that it is an early variety but rather the quality of the fruit.
