CHAPMAN GOLD
Accidental cross between Chapman and an unidentified variety. Large golden orange fruit weighing 400 to 500 grams.
Variety discovered by Tatiana Kushnareva in a Chapman seed lot sent by Linda Black from California in 2006. Fruit identical to 'Chapman' except for the orange colour instead of red. During stabilisation, the F3 seeds produced plants with regular PL foliage and orange and red fruit, proving that this was an accidental cross.
Large golden orange fruit weighing 400-500 grams, round and flattened with rounded and ribbed shoulders. Deep and wide depression at the stem attachment.
Dense and fleshy beefy flesh.
Excellent, rich flavour.
