CHEROKEE TIGER ORANGE INDETERMINATE
American origin. 300 to 500 grams of beefsteak-like fruit, flattened at the poles and with ribbed, rounded shoulders.
A recent variety from a 'Cherokee Tiger Black' line (a cross between 'Cherokee Purple' and 'Bonte Tigret') developed by Bill Jeffers and reportedly by Brad Gates.
Large, beefsteak-like fruit weighing 300-500 grams, flattened at the poles, with rounded, ribbed shoulders.
Orange skin streaked with lighter orange.
Dense, juicy, multi-located beef flesh.
Good sweet and fruity flavour. Mid-season production.
NB: there could be confusion with the variety 'Cherokee Tiger Orange Dwarf' from the same cross which produces the same colour fruit but on a dwarf plant and especially of a much smaller size +/-80 grams.
