Very little information on this variety which bears the name of a village in Upper Corsica. It is thought to have been introduced by the Italians when Corsica was under Genoese rule. It is said to be an evolution or the Corsican line of "Ligularia" (or "Coeur de boeuf d'Albenga").

Large red fruit weighing +/- 300 grams, very ribbed at the top and with shoulders curved in a boat shape. Deep and very, very wide corky depression at the peduncular attachment.

Beefy flesh with a good old tomato flavour.
