DEPP'S PINK FIREFLY
Very old heirloom from the USA. Large, pink, round, fleshy fruits weighing 180 to 500 grams, most of them have shoulders.
Very old variety dating from 1890, heirloom from the family of Emily Deep Coy who grew it for over a century in the Glasgow, Kentucky area.
Fruit 180-500 grams, round and fleshy, most fruits have smooth shoulders but some may be discretely ribbed.
Pink skin with lighter areas and yellowish streaks on shoulders, hence the name "firefly".
Excellent rich flavour, sweeter than acidic, the further into the season it grows.
Indeterminate growth habit. Potato foliage.
Good production in the second half of the season.
