Variety from "Lemon Head" discovered and stabilised by Brad Gates. Mutant strain.
2 strains in circulation:
1 - original strain: yellow and orange zebra strain. Flesh yellow with pink veiling.
2- mutant strain: orange-yellow strain with green stripes, green flesh with pink mottling in the centre.
Fruit plum-like, oblong, 50 to 80 grams, insertion with small and flush peduncle attachment, trace of umbilicus at one point or in hollow. Flower closed. Delicious, sweet flavour with a hint of acidity. A versatile variety that keeps well after harvesting, good for salads or canning. The plant is small and flexible and, depending on the growing conditions, can grow from 1.20m to over 2.0m.
