This variety is a segregated line from a cross of Brandywine and Neves Azorean red made by Bill Jeffers in 2007. This one is a personal selection of Marianna who grew it from F2 and for 5-6 generations; is now stable.
Large red fruit with greenish shoulders, +/- 300 grams, beefsteak type, slightly flattened at the poles, with discreetly rounded and ribbed shoulders. Depression at the stem attachment moderately deep, corky and wide.
Beefy flesh with excellent flavour.
Plant with great development, regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Very good productivity in the second half of the season.
The main interest of this variety is its ability to withstand the hot and humid weather conditions typical of the southern states of the USA.
There are two other known lines from this cross: "Texwine" and "Mc Murray".
