There are two varieties in circulation with the same name which is a source of confusion ....
One is said to be flattened and strongly ribbed at the top with a deep depression at the stem attachment. Producing red fruits with green shoulders, from 150 to 300 gr, late. (source French site)
The other is said to be elongated to heart-shaped, producing fleshy red fruits weighing 120 to 180 grams, mid-season (source: American website).
The various sources agree that it is a productive variety, that the fruits have a dense flesh with good flavour and are suitable for cooking (preserves or coulis).
