Variety created and developed by Bill Jeffers, resulting from the crossing of "Green Giant" x "Yellow Submarine" would still seem to be unstable especially in terms of colour, moreover a segregation of this cross to give "Melon Ball" creamy white version of Gail.
Fruit weighing 150 to 250 grams, flattened beefsteak type, more or less strongly ribbed at the top and with ruffled shoulders. The depression at the stem attachment is moderately deep but wide and corky.
Very sweet flavour, typical of "yellow" tomatoes, excellent according to those who have tasted it. Voted best yellow tomato 2014 in a poll of registered users of Blane Horton's Doc & Katies Jardin Xanadu website.
