GEORGE'S GREEK BEEFSTEAK
Could be of Greek origin. Large red fruit of 200 to 500 grams, beefsteak type, flattened and ribbed.
A heirloom variety that may have originated in Greece. Seed obtained from Tina Exarchoulis whose father George, of Greek descent, grew this variety for many years in Vancouver, British Columbia. Featured in the 2007 Seed Savers Yearbook.
Large red fruit, 200-500 grams, beefsteak type, flattened and ribbed at the top with a more or less pronounced ripple at the shoulders. Wide and deep depression at the stem attachment.
Meaty and juicy beef flesh. Good flavour. Regular and very dense foliage.
Good productivity.
