Variety developed by an amateur gardener, A.l Novikove, Russia.
Large raspberry-pink fruit weighing 300 to 1200 grams, beefsteak type, slightly flattened with ribbed and rounded shoulders making the fruit misshapen for the larger ones. Very large corky depression at the stem attachment, trace of umbilicus in hollow.
Thin skin, dense and juicy beefy flesh with a delicious sweet and sour taste.
Very vigorous plant with a large growth habit, up to 3 metres, dense regular foliage, indeterminate growth.
Seems to be heat averse, under good growing conditions the plant can produce 9-12 kg of fruit.
NB: A. I Novikove also developed Гигант18 (known in the West as Giant-10 Novikova/Noviko'giant) and Гибрид Новикова 84.
