Variety originating from the Tarnipal region of Ukraine. Family heirloom of Tanya Gogosha whose grandmother brought the seed to the USA. One of the 100 varieties described in Carolyn Homme's book "100 heirloom tomatoes for American garden".
Large, fleshy, pink fruit with greenish collar, 300-500 grams. Round and slightly flattened beefsteak type with rounded and more or less ribbed shoulders. Depression at the stem attachment shallow, wide and corky, from which scars may appear in the talwegs. Clusters of 4/5 units.
Extremely dense and juicy beefy flesh, with very small lodges containing very few seeds. Exceptional flavour.
Good second season production.
