The varieties in the Gondwana dwarf tomato series were selected and developed by Patrina after Australia no longer made seed sharing possible under the international project.
Patrina carried out the first crosses in the Australian spring of 2012. Three crosses were developed, of which only two have produced results to date: Curiosity F1 - Adelaide Festival X Indigo Rose, and Destiny F1 - Destiny F1 - Dainty F1 (Summertime Gold PL x Sleeping Lady) X Indigo Rose.
Variety from the Destiny F1 family.
Small, round, saladette-type fruit weighing around 80 grams.
Golden-yellow color splashed with purplish-purple traces revealing the presence of anthocyanins.
Pale yellow flesh, initially with acidic flavors that transform into sweetness and end with a touch of umami (Umami means "essence of delight" in Japanese, and its taste is often described as the fleshy, salty delight that deepens the flavor).
Dwarf plant with large trunks, regular rugosa foliage, indeterminate growth.
Good, regular seasonal production.
Harvest 2023, bag of approx. 15 seeds.
Patrina's dwarf Gondwana Series: Gondwana Lava , Gondwana Lightning, Gondwana Rose, Gondwana Thunder, Gondwana Moon.
