GRANNY CANTRELL GERMAN
Native to Germany. Large fruit weighing 300 grams to one kilo, flattened and ribbed at the top.
A heirloom variety from Germany, obtained by Lettie Cantrell from a German soldier who returned to his country at the end of the Second World War. She grew it for 40 years and named it 'German Red Tomato'. Gary Millwood inherited the seed in 2000 and promoted it because he loved it so much. In 2006 it won the "Best in Taste" award at the Baker Creek Festival.
