Old heirloom variety from William Malin's family originating from Hillsboro, New Mexico, USA. Featured in the Seed Savers Yearbook in 2007.
Large reddish-pink fruit, 300-500 grams, beefsteak type, round and flattened with slight ribbing at the top, pronounced shoulder ripples on larger sizes. Wide, corky but shallow depression at the stem attachment.
Dense and fleshy beefy flesh, excellent balanced flavour.
Vigorous plant over 2.0 m. Tendency to crack at ribbing slopes.
Good productivity over a long period.
