IDITAROD RED
Variety created within the framework of the Dwarf Tomato Project. One of the varieties resulting from a cross between "Budai Torpe" and "Black from Tula".
A recent variety, developed from 2006 to 2011, within the framework of the 'Dwarf Tomato Project'. A cross between 'Budai Torpe' and 'Black from Tula', (Grumpy F1), made by Patrina Nuske Small in 2006. Selected in F3 by Sue Bailley, in 2007. Introduced to the public in 2012.
Small fruit weighing 30-120 grams, variable in shape, well rounded for the small ones, swollen for the larger ones and for some, with a small nipple on the apical end.
Balanced taste, pleasant flavour, ideal for salads.
Compact, tree-like plant, not exceeding 1.0 m, with dark green, rough foliage.
Can be grown in containers.
