Despite its name, there is no evidence that this variety is Italian in origin.
Small, dark red, brown fruit with dark green shoulders weighing 30 to 60 grams. Plum-shaped, stretched over its height, slightly ovoid. Clusters composed of several bunches of +/- 10 fruits.
Firm, thick-walled flesh with a sweet, low-acid taste. Can be used both fresh and in cooking for making sauces and coulis, also suitable for drying.
Vigorous plant with large, even foliage and indeterminate growth.
Generous production early in the season and until frost (+/- 70 days).
Particularly disease-resistant variety.
