Variety whose history cannot be traced, probably originating from Montlouis in the Indre et Loire.
Bright yellow fruit weighing 150 to 200 grams, flattened and strongly ribbed or even wrinkled/ribbed. Reminiscent of the various Italian "Costoluto" but in yellow. Quite an original and attractive look. Wide and deep depression at the foot attachment.
Unfortunately more pretty than good, very average taste quality, to be used for stuffing or cooking (sauce etc..).
