Old family heirloom variety from Kazakhstan. Ludmilla, from this family, immigrated to Germany and donated seeds to Reinhart Kraft who promoted them. Featured in the Seed Savers Yearbook 2009.
Red fruit with green shoulders, oval 180-300 grams, some as large as a soda can. Clusters of 4 to 6 fruits. Medium depression at the peduncular attachment.
Flesh is paste-like, full and firm with little gel and seeds. Excellent flavour. Versatile variety, good for fresh eating, sauce making and canning.
High productivity.
