Developed at the Morden research station in Manitoba, this variety was fixed in 1956 as a result of crosses between "Marglobe" and "Bounty", then "Redskin". An extra hative tomato adapted to zones 3 and below. Ideal for mountainous regions or the north, or for people in zones 4-5 who want tomatoes as early as July.
Round, bright-red fruits weighing 120 to 200 grams, slightly flattened at the poles.
Juicy, fleshy flesh. Mild flavor with a hint of bitterness.
Compact, bushy plant to be staked or grown in a cage, otherwise dragging on the ground, regular foliage, determined growth.
Abundant early production, most of which lasts from 3 weeks to a month.
Harvest 2023, bag of approx. 15 seeds.
