Family heirloom variety, originating in Germany, more precisely in the Black Forest region. Introduced in the Seed Savers Yearbook of 1994. Original seed of Joe Bratka, a bit the "daddy" of the "Marizol" family.
Large, bright red, 300-450 gram beefsteak-like fruit, slightly flattened with rounded shoulders and more or less ribbed.
Juicy beef flesh with a balanced acidity/sweetness and fragrance. For some the best of the "Marizol" family.
Good production in the second half of the season.
