A recent variety from Italy, an improvement on the famous "San Marzano". Note that there is another San Marzano Lungo with the number 2.
Fleshy, red fruit weighing 90 to 150 grams, elongated and cylindrical, 6 to 12 cm long and +/- 4 cm in diameter.
Thick, dry paste-like flesh with little or no gel and few seeds. Ideal for drying or for making coulis or sauce.
Abundant mid-season production.
