This variety originated in the Azores and was brought to the USA by Anthony Neves, a resident of Boston, Massachusetts, who selected the largest fruit year after year. The seed was obtained in 1999 by Carolyn Homme through Chuck Perry, who got it from a cousin who got it from the founder of Neptune Harvest Co. The latter got it from Neves himself in exchange for seaweed fertilizer.
Large fruit, beefsteak type, red, over 300 grams, round, slightly flattened and ribbed at the top. Insertion at the stem attachment very wide but shallow, trace of umbilicus in spot. 8 to 10 sepals.
Flesh with a rich and tasty flavour.
