Very old variety from New Zealand.
Synonyms: New Zealand pear, New Zealand pink paste, New Zealand pink pear
Fruit weighing 80 to 200 grams, pink with greenish shoulders. Variable shape: pear to plum with a discrete ribbing at the top.
Juicy, thick flesh with very few seeds. Strong sweet flavour. Ideal for making sauces but also excellent in salads.
Vigorous growing plant.
Good productivity, mostly in the second half of the season.
