A little known heirloom variety, recently offered to the public, 2006, by "Heritage Harvest Seed. According to the latter, it was obtained from an old lady who has selected it year after year for a long time, without indicating its origin.
Synonyms: Old time red and yellow - Old fashioned red and yellow.
Large to very large fruit that can exceed one kilo, flattened beefsteak type, ribbed at the top and with rounded shoulders.
The skin is usually variegated with red and yellow. Some of the fruit may be completely red.
Dense and fleshy orange beef flesh with pink veins, delicious flavour. Sweet, fragrant flavour on a par with the best 'bicolours'.
Large, dense foliage, indeterminate growth.
Good and consistent mid-season production.
