Controversy about the origin of this variety for some, a variety originating from Russia, for others a creation of Sébastien Berhier in Décines in the Rhône. Cross between 'Pineapple' and 'Rose de Berne'.
Large round fruit, 250-400 grams, slightly flattened and lightly to strongly ribbed. Pineapple' type, orange variegated. Large depression at stem attachment, irregular umbilical trace.
Juicy, dense, pinkish beef flesh with a fragrant flavour and good acid/sugar balance. Contains few seeds.
Strong tendency to burst. Good behaviour in cold and/or short season regions.
