A heirloom variety whose origin is not formally established, probably German. Presented at the Seed Saver Yearbook in 2009.
Large two-coloured fruit, yellow with a more or less intense red blush on the lower part, 350 to 500 grams. Round beefsteak type, flattened at the poles and ribbed at the top.
Dense and fleshy two-coloured beef flesh. Mild, excellent flavour. Often awarded in tasting competitions.
Stubby plant with limited development, but needs to be well staked given the size of the fruit.
Average production in the second half of the season.
