PORTUGUESE NEIGHBOUR
Canadian origin. Pink fruit weighing 180 to 350 grams with a heart-shaped tendency and blunt tip.
Heirloom originating in Canada, seeds obtained by Denise Salmon from a 99 year old grandmother who herself had received them from her Portuguese neighbour in 1998. Renamed in 2007 "Gran's "portuguese neighbour in honour of the old lady.
Pink fruit weighing 180-350 grams, heart-shaped with a blunt tip, some fruits may have a slight ribbing.
Beefy flesh with an excellent sweet and balanced flavour.
Please note: the taste qualities deteriorate quickly once the fruit has reached full maturity and therefore they do not keep well.
