Variety originating in England. There are two different varieties with the same name: one developed and bred by Jackson Stanley (for 20 years selection of very thin skinned fruit) and the other originating in North America propagated by the Heirloom Seed Library. There is also an F1 hybrid variety with the same name distributed by Burpee.
