A rare variety that could be of Russian origin, but its name is not or it has been renamed. Listed in the 1999 Seed Savers Yearbook.
Very dark purple fruit with dark green shoulders, 120-250 grams. Variable shape, sometimes round and slightly flattened with more or less rippled shoulders, but most often oval with a heart-shaped tendency.
Good earthy, complex and smoky flavour like most "blacks".
