Rare! Italian origin. Yellow version of Roi Humbert. Bright yellow, cylindrical to oval fruit.
Italian heirloom dating from the 19th century, named after King Humbert of Savoy. Yellow version of "Roi Humbert".
Bright yellow fruit, cylindrical to oval and sometimes pear-shaped with the presence of a small nipple, in a cluster of 4 to 5 fruits.
Full paste-like flesh. Slightly sweet flavour. Well suited for making sauces and/or preserves. Very good storage capacity.
Suitable for both open field and greenhouse cultivation.
In Italy, the whole plants were harvested in autumn and the immature fruit continued to ripen indoors for long periods of time.
Extremely rare.
