A heirloom variety from the Rose family, Kentucky. It was cultivated in the late 1920s by John Rose, featured in the 2001 Seed Savers Yearbook and commercially in 2008.
Large, flattened, ribbed fruit with shoulders weighing +/- 500 grams, and can exceed one kilo.
Creamy white to pale yellow in colour with a pink blush at the tip. Deep and wide depression at the stem attachment.
Beefy flesh with a fine, juicy texture and mild flavour, excellent taste quality.
