Variety originating from the Caribbean, takes its name from its resemblance to the "Tam o'Shanter" (traditional Scottish beret: soft flat checkered cap with a pompom on top).
Fruit with a hanging, lantern-like port, with an original shape, round and flat on the top, 3 to 4 cm in diameter with four globular prominences on the bottom, +/- 5 cm long, some fruits may have a tapering tip to the apical end.
Ripens from green to scarlet red to yellow. Easy to dry.
Heat between 100,000 and 350,000 SHU.
Late production +/- 110 to 120 days.
