Variety originating from New Jersey, USA. It is supposed to be the result of the fortuitous crossing of "Wonder Light" with "Persimmon" or "Pineapple". Indeed at the origin Wonder Light was cultivated between two rows of "Persimmon" and "Ananas". It is the following year that Tom Micholas by sowing the seeds of Wonder Light realized that they were not in conformity giving fruits with the various forms and color. He continued the stabilization from 2005 to 2008 to obtain today a stable fruit. Presented to the Seed Savers Yearbook in 2008.
