Variety developed by: "Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute in Trinidad and Tobago". Cardi is a key player in the development of the local chilli industry and contributes to their improvements in productivity and quality in order to better promote them on international markets.
Like a scorpion, the fruit has a sting in the apical part. These pods are longer (+/- 8 cm) and thicker than "Trinidad Scorpion regular" with a little less heat.
Ripens from green to grapefruit yellow.
Generous late production (90 to 120 days), plant that can reach 1.20 meters.
For the record: it is used mixed with marine paint to prevent shells from settling on the hull of ships!
