Commercial variety from Russia, offered to the 2009 Seed Savers Yearbook by Tatiana Kushnareva. Unfortunately, its Russian name is not often used and it is often found on sales and exchange sites under its translated name: "Japanes Crab". This is a source of confusion for collectors who often think they are dealing with two different varieties.
Synonyms: Yaponskiy crab - Japanese crab - Японский Краб.
Pink fruit weighing 200-400 grams (may reach 800 grams according to the seed company's description) of the beefsteak type, round very slightly flattened with more or less ribbed shoulders.
Juicy and fleshy beef flesh. Excellent sweet taste.
Good mid-season production. Well suited to cool summer and/or short season regions.
